The Roles of the Ironwood Ridge High School Spiritline Crowd Leaders: The title “SPIRITLINE” explains it all. Cheerleaders, Mascots and the Stunt Crew motivate the crowd and rally them to get on their feet and yell. They understand the sports that they are cheering for and genuinely support the team. During games, the IRHS SPIRITLINE will use signs, props, and poms with a combination of skills to communicate with spectators. Spirit Raisers:Spirit raising is taking the pride that the Spiritline has for their school and spreads it to their fellow students and community. Whether it means making signs and encouraging the teams that they cheer for, encouraging their friends and family members to attend the big game, the Spiritline is where the SPIRIT begins. Ambassadors:Being an IRHS ambassador within the community is a key part of being a member of the Spiritline. As one of the most visible student athletes, spiritline athletes should be friendly, know the facts of their school, set a good example for other students and spread spirit. Spiritline athletes have been a long standing tradition that will continue after you graduate. You are expected to continue the legacy. Athletes: Being a Spiritline athlete requires strength, endurance and technique to execute the skills required to raise school spirit and lead the crowd. Stunts, pyramids, jumps, tumbling and dancing are a focus of the team. Spiritline members should always think of themselves as athletes and train as athletes. Entertainers:The spiritline will use crowd leading tactics and athleticism to entertain the crowd on game day, performances, events, and competitions. Through the use of stunts, tumbling, jumps, dance, spiritline athletes are an essential part of the entertainment of games, performances, events and competitions. When the crowd is entertained and enjoying the performance, they are more likely to show their pride in the school.
